Gun show here in Iowa this weekend and I want a new toy. Got $400 to burn so please give me you pick on which one of these to get.

I don't need anymore AR's right now or anything else for that matter I just have it narrowed down to these three guns. I just need a "fun Gun"

Definately get the SAR-1. Mags are cheap, and you can always get the Rugers later (but this is it for the SAR-1s).

SAR's seem to be drying up fast.  If you can find one, get it.  Rugers will be around longer (hopefully).  If you can find a SAR-2 at a decent price, let me know

If you find the SAR-3 you might want to consider it also.  Its the same as the other AK variants only chambered for NATO 5.56mm.  Mine (after correcting the hammer geometry problem - long story but simple solution) seems to digest everything without fail.  Plus, you won't have to worry about the supply of ammo as with the 7.62/5.45X39 crap.  There seems to be plenty of quality 5.56mm around.  One word of caution, you'll be buying the SA battlepacks quite regularly - this rifle is FUN and offers a change of pace for .223 plinkers.  And from my experience, accuracy is much better than the 7.62 SAR/AK's.

Cheap plentiful ammo, cheap plentiful mags, super reliable.

Get it.  You WONT be sorry.

If I had $400 to burn I'd get Birdman's .50BMG kit.

Get one of the SAR's. They're fun, cheap to shoot, and banned.

But I wouldn't pay more than $375-$400 for one.

If your just going to blast, the SAR-1,

If your going to use it on pest and coyotes, then I would go with the Mini-14. You can still use it to blast at the pits, but will be good to use it on running targets when scoped.
Both riles can be feed for under .10 a round(wolf).

P.S. When I'm varmint hunting in Wyoming, I'm the odd ball with the AR-15. My peers have been shooting the mini's for a long time.
