I bought some cheap 10rd mag and it has a
plastic piece surronding the base of the mag but since I have a mag well I had to take it off. Then the other day while competing in my combat can course I went to reload and really over inserrted the mag so I need a recommendation on a 10rd that has a little piece of metal to stop over inserstion not a plastic piece.

I believe thw WIlson's have a metal tab that limits insertion. If you look closely at the top middle mag you can see the tab on the front.

I haven't tried the Wilson 10 rounders, but the Chip McCormicks suck.  We bought several of them and they don't function well at all.  I only carry Wilson's and I would assume that if anyone could make a good 10 rounder, it would be them.

WILSON
They won't over insert and they will last forever, even with weekly hard IPSC use.

Thefact that you can call Wilson and they will replace or rebuild it for free if it ever malfunctions.

I have two that I bought when I had a WC 1196
that I had to sell :( I wanted new springs for them.

I sent them back and they sent me NEW ones which I still have.

Best buy you can make.
