I'm picking up my first one tonight after work and the anticipation is driving me crazy. I wanna see pics! Post 'em!!!!!
edited to add: Can anybody give me a link to an online manual for disassembly / assembly instructions? Or, if it's a fairly simple process, explain how to do it? |

They are simple to field strip and the procedure should be in the book that comes with your 45. I don't have a link for you though..sorry.

I don't think webshots will allow you to link an image, but the url works if you open it in a separate window.

It's kind of wierd in a good way. I'm accustomed to the full size 1911, which I find easy to control. The Ultra Comp, rather than jumping up at the muzzle, kind of just twitches in the hand. For some reason, I've never compared them side-by-side for second shot follow-up, but I think I just found a reason to go shooting. |
Well by all means, go shoot them, have fun while you're at it, and then get back to us. I kinda had the same idea you did, getting a "baby brother" for my full size 1911-A1. |

Mine looks exactly like the one on the left, the only difference is the custom laser engraving on the slide. "091101 - WTC" underneath the ejection port "All Gave Some, Some Gave All" on the other side of the slide |
