guy is asking $1050 + tax   it appears to be all original and all Colt in about 95%

10-4  It does not have bayo lug  does have flassh hider and does not have raised mag well fence.    Right next to it is POST ban Hbar for $975 + tax.    also he has USA   ak47 mags for $40 and has steel no name ar mags for $40 SO I think he does not know the values.    I just needed someone to double check the ser. number for me because I am shaking so bad.

Colt stopped doing the bayo lug before the ban to be PC.  It sounds legit to me!

If it has 2 zeros where you indicate, it would indicate 4,000+, it is a pre-ban.

Assuming that you have entered the serial number correctly, it is a pre-ban. Mine is ST035XXX.

 Any gun marked "Sporter" is a preban if that helps.

didn't realize you could call Colt,  they confirmed it IS pre.
Went back later and asked guy if that was best he could do (sorry I was raised poor and never made and lot of money)    He punched on the adding machine for a while and handed me the paper with $1025 total marked on it.  I asked him if he could through in a sling and handle scope mount, but he said he couldn't.

You did buy it right????

YES my brother has been wanting one and now he has one.  Still don't know why that guy wouldn't take the sling and handle mount off of the sister POST ban Hbar and throw it in.  If you go back and read my first post I was shaking badly (I NEVER use spellcheck and stopped in a business and asked if I could use their internet for 10 minutes). never done that before either.    It is a good feeling you can call on someone that will help you like most gun guys that are on this website.  where else could you get correct info (not BS) in about 10 minutes.

I'm still holding out for a Springfield M1A
