I should be the last guy to ask, "Why?"
To my way of thinking, a 9mm Win Mag would be the way to go, if you were inclined to build a thing like this. Something rimless, and a 9mm based on a 7.62x39 sounds better. |

Tromix has made some, but they are closed up now. Although, you might be able to find some of their work on the used market.

I believe there already is one- it's called the .357 Sig carbine upper. It matches your .357 mag needs, and is a good cartridge for carbine use.

To the best of my recollection, Tromix didn't make a .357 Mag AR upper. However, he did produce exactly four (4) uppers chambered in .44 Mag.

.357 POOH Go for the Tromix .458Socom. 300gr Big time bang lots of power. Uses standard AR Mags.
