Archived [ARCHIVED THREAD] - Anybody doing AR15's in .243 ?

OK, OK...so, I'll have to give up my dream of procurring an AR15/AR10 in .270 -

In this confused state (Colorado), you can't hunt with a .223, but ya' can with a .243...(not that I'd be huntin', but the additional power would be sweet :-} )

So, any mfg's doing AR15 styles in the .243 round???

I don't know if anyone has mentioned ArmaLite or not but they have some.

It is actually an AR-10.  www.armalite.com makes them both in .243 and .308.  The .308 would be OK for elk too.

Armalite does not make them, but I have heard of custom 7mm-08 and .260 Rem versions too.
