How big is your gun collection in value and size?  The reason I ask this is becasue how many of you guys have insurance on your guns and also a safe?  At the moment I don't have any home owners insurance on my guns except a large safe, home security system, and two chocolate labs!

I would consider my collection small in size but large in value.

1) Flattop AR w/ krieger barrel and Tasco ss scope

2) SA M1A super match

3) Rem 700 pss w/Leupold 4-12x mil-dot

4) Benelli Montefeltro

5) Rem Model 7 w/leupold 4x

My collection sits at about $10,000 invested. Hopefully they are worth more than I paid for them. My homeowner's insurance covers contents of home for somewhere around $50,000+. I should be fine in that aspect.

Small by the numbers but almost everything is full auto, so the total value adds up very quickly.  Of course, if I ever sold off all the full auto stuff, I could buy an enormous collection of semis.

I thought anything more than a few weapons and a few bricks of ammo was considered an arsenal by todays PC standards.

Actually, most of my collection sits well protected from fire and vandals in a 1000 lb safe.  Unfortunately, that safe is in my ex wife's (the !$@%#*^#&@%!*@^#$*$%#, that she is) house at the moment.

Kinda hard finding the wherewithall to move something so heavy on a budget but will retrieve it soon.

I took my Glocks my ARs, my duck gun and my 870 Scattergun with me as well as a few thousand rounds of ammo.  All in all I'd say that I have about $10,000 tied up.

Well we should determine just what each means.

I have more than most....

Less than some.

Perhaps a poll is needed here.

Do you have?

1-5
5-10
10-25
25-50
50-100??

Make sure, specifically, that your fire arms are covered.

My agent made it clear that when itemized they would only cover so much for fire arms.... them I had to purchase more coverage....

Matter of fact, I think I better have a little sit down with him, again.

I have, by my wifes standards, a large collection. I have by media standards, an illegal arsenal of automatic weapons. I think I have a small collection. There are several more rifles that I would like to own. Mostly very nice bolt guns. I also am becoming very interested in antiques...

I am pretty sure I still have fewer than 20 firearms. It seems I have 13.......wofe was lookin..........

I guess my collection falls between 50-100. About 1/4 is Glocks & AR's. I put a rider policy on my homeowners insurance. The wife & kids love to shoot as much as I do, so I don't get harassed when I bring a new one home (It also helps to work at a gun store...)

It's not how big it is; it's how you use it.

My wife asked me about the same question last month. I told her that there were several pistols,a few shotguns, and some rifles. When this is added up, it comes to a bunch. The first M-1A i bought (used) for $500 was too expensive according to her. The second I bought a year later, I told her it cost $65. She thought that was about right. I have told my son the values on everything so that she won't sell everything for $35 per item when I kick off.

I have 20

6 rifles
13 pistols
1 shotgun

I'm glad I checked my insurance and got a rider.  It only covered individual arms to 500 each and 10,000 max for all!

I figured it would take over $20,000 to replace everything (mags, scopes, etc)

Check those policies!

i have what i consider to be a somewhat dismal collection.

1.) Bushy Dissipator
2.) Pre-ban Chinese (i think) SKS
3.) Some kind of .22 (it's stored in the attic, don't know what kind)
4.) Unknown Pump shotty
5.) Double Barreled Saw'd off.
6.) Smith and Wesson .45
7.) Walther PPK
8.) Ruger .22 Single Action Revolver
9.) Grandpa's M1 Garand (I need to get pics of this, it looks just like a Garand, but has Japanese/Korean markings on it..which I guess would mean it's not an M1 Garand...hmmm...)

That's it, I have plenty of plans for the collection, though. Business has recently allowed me to get back into shooting :)
