200 bucks and you didn't buy it! You should be flogged!  Seriously, there seem to be several in this area (VA) at every gunshow.  Going price seems to be $450 as well.  They are also the same rifles at each gunshow at the same dealers too.  I've wanted one myself, but I'll have to find a good deal to justify it.  They really are a nice rifle.  Besides, $40 for a 440 rd spam can of ammo is cheap shooting in anybody's book.

There are 2 for sale $450 at Guns 4 U, Baker, Fl. They even have the scope mount grooves on the receivers! They are also known as the Russian Garand.

I woulda been all over a Tok for $200.  The best I've seen recently was, I think, $325 or so.

About 6 years ago, I had a chance to buy one for 200 or 220, I can't remember.  I didn't because I wasn't sure how good a gun it was, and the local FFL told me they(SVT-40's) were  pieces of crap!  I should of known not to listen to him.  I do not buy anything from him anymore.  I still hate him for that.....and myself for being an IDIOT!   But, at least it wasn't LAST YEAR at normal prices of 450!  Oh, bobeaser, you should feel baaaaaaaaaaad.

I bought one of these a few years back for $225.  It was a 'sniper' model...or at least it had the configurations of one, dont know if it was all original or what.  Anyway, I found it to be very cheap to shoot, but not anywhere near as accurate as my Mosin 91-30 and its a major pain in the a$$ to take apart and clean (since all that cheapo ammo is corrosive).  Anyway good luck finding one, regardless of their shortcomings they are neat guns.
