Hey all, I've had a crush on a Browning Eclipse .308 with the BOSS system and the laminate thumb hole stock for over a year now. Didn't have it in the budget to get the thing, so I just looked at it everytime I was in that particular gun store's area. Well, today I find out that Browning has discontinued that gun. Discontinue a .308? Crazy! Anyway, I called the gun store today and they still have it. I put $100 down payment to hold the gun.
Now, am I doing the right thing? Are Browning rifles good to go? I've only looked at the erogenomics of the rifle and it fits my hunting style perfectly. Lightweight, short, BOSS for all types of bulet weights, and thumbhole stock. I figure Browning is a good gun company, so the rifle should be good.
BTW, the price is $829.00. For a discontinued gun that dealers can no longer get, I had no choice.
Let me know what you all think!
