I am a GI stationed in Germany. Since I cant import any semi-auto rifles from here, I have taken to collecting sniper type rifles. There seem to be more and more of them in .338 Lapua Mag. I was wondering how easy it was to find these rounds in the States, and about how much they go for. Thanks.

Factory loaded ammo for the .338 Lapua Mag. is pretty darn expensivo( $65-75/20 rounds).  You will really want to reload for this round.  Buy the 500 pack of Sierra 300 gr. match kings (assuming you have the 1 in 10 twist bbl.) and get your Norma brass from Bruno or Sinclair.  Should be close to $2.00/piece.

There is loading data out there.

Sierra MK 300
71.0 grains IMR4831  2635fps

This load puts 300 gr. Match Kings through the same hole at 100 yards through my TRG-41.  I replaced the factory bbl. with a MAX-HV Hart 1 in 10" twist bbl. and added the JP muzzle brake.

Let me know if you need any other info.

It seems like the all-american choice would be the Remington Model 700 chambered in 338 Remington Ultra Mag.
