Archived [ARCHIVED THREAD] - Anyone have any idea what this rifle is?

Sorry about the vague description, but I was about 5 when my Mom had one.  

Made by Browning, had an Octogon Barrel, bolt action, chambered in a 6MM rem, this was somewhere between 1979 and 1980 when she had it.  She said it was a model 77 but I havent found anything on the web about one, search shows all ruger M77 rifles...
