Just bought a new Remington 700 Police (kevlar/fiberglass-reinforced composite stock.)

Two of the three sling swivel studs are loose and I fear that they won't make the trip 180 degrees around to their next oriented position without damaging the stock somehow.

My question is...

...what would be the best way to secure the studs in their current settings?

Would superglue epoxy stand up to the right-and-left torquing of carrying the rifle by it's sling?

Should I just leave it as is and not worry so much?

Any other suggestions?

Lock-tite works. I have also used epoxy to fix them into place. But DON'T DO IT until you have thought out VERY carefully what kind of sling you will use permanently such as a chin quick sling or a Turner leather sling. Check out slings at" Snipercountry Links "for more info.
