I need to purchase a bipod for my Colt H-bar.
Are the ones that just mount on the barrel sufficient or do I need to spend more and get one that mounts on the handguard? And, Are those difficult to mount? Thanks for any help.

Get a Harris bipod with a #5 adapter for the handguards.

Natchez has a sale on them now. $54.92 each

Spend a little extra cash and get the Harris.

You'll be glad you did.  They are excellent.

If you shoot off a bench,  get the shorter one that only extends out to 9 inches or so (i think that's the right one)

Also, the ones with the swivel/cant are a little too wiggly for me.
