Was talking to a guy this weekend who related a story about one of those rifle training schools (wasn't Thunder Ranch but one similiar). He said that AR's with collapsible stocks NEVER made it through the course. And one of the guys who ran it thought it was stupid that they showed the spec-ops guys with M4's and collapsible stocks because they'd soon be useing them for pistols.

For some reaon I think the idea that our spec-ops troops would be using weapons prone to breaking in the field is somewhat ludicrous.


So what do you guys think? It seems to me that since collapsible stocks have been in use since the 60's that they've been proven. Anybody else think otherwise?

   

Oh yea another arm chair gorilla knows all about it. You said it yourself would the real bad boys use them if they didn't work.The first ones did have some problems if handled very rough,thats one of the reason for the new style plastic.The others were noise and tempeture(ever put your face onto metal in subzero). Sure you can break one,you can also break the reciver or an anvil for that matter.But just look at what the real deal is using,not what some want-to be says.
