Maybe this topic should go elsewhere, but you don't get the # of reponses there.  I just got a Kimber CC and I'm very new to 1911s and the 45 rnd.  So I was wondering what is the best, cheap ammo to shoot in them.  I don't think I'll be going the Wolf route, but would like to hear ya'lls opinion on it.  Maybe South Arican or S&B.  Ya'll tell me.

The S&B doesn't run through my Kimber very well at all. I don't think the Wolf will ever be going through mine either. What I have been shooting through mine has been the white box Winchester. Have yet to have a problem with it. If you find some good inexpensive ammo for this critter......post it.

Mine doesn't seem to like the CCI Blazer that much, but no probs with regular US made brass ammo.  I was wondering about maybe the S. Afician stuff or maybe any of the other brass surplus rnds.

I'm just starting to tap into my 4th case of PMC 230gr FMJ without any problems in my Gold Combat.
$189.95/1000rds from www.the-armory.com

Troy, Does all S&B ammo use steel jacketed bullets?

You really have to just try a bunch of stuff and see what works. I use Atlanta Arms reloads with no problems, but identical looking stuff from a local shop hits the ramp wrong 1 out of 5 times. The difference is .002 in overall length. My bosses Springfield Mil-Spec loves the local boys stuff but chokes up on the Atlanta Arms. Go figure!

PS Mine is a CC from the old Clackamas days.

I use Winchester White box also. I had a few jams early on but now it runs great.
