the 1-12 bbl is limited on accuracy at distance. Best accuracy is only about 300 yds as i recall. Best thing, is that it is exceedingly deadly because of it.( up set bullet and all)Also, as the temperature goes down, accuracy will suffer even more. That is why you want 1-14 for home defense ( that being under 150 yds), and 1-8 for 600 yard.

raf, i have the exact same combination: 1-12 colt and a ceiner kit. very accurate. i also have a 1-7 twist barreled upper, (shorter), and it is fun, but not as accurate (a LOT less), than the 1-12 twist colt upper.

You do realize twist rate and accuracy depend on bullet length, right?
