back-up iron sights on a flattop upper?
(the ones that can be attached and removed)

is there really any chance of them getting bumped and coming off or losing zero?

There are several types, some attach with Allen screws and aren't going to pop loose.

The DPMS sight installs properly at the aft end of the rail.  Some others are too far forward.
