As I understand it, the Pentax scopes are manufactured by Burris.  There are probably better deals to be had for that price.

www.sierratradingpost.com  has 'em on sale, got a catalog last week,  Prices ran from about $30-60 less than SWFA, which is damn cheap if that's the scope you want.

But are these any good?  $1000 scope for $500 sounds like a good deal to me.  I work about 4 blocks from the Sierra Trading Post store and warehouse.

I went to Sierra Trading Post to take a look at the scope and its optics are excellent.  Anyone have any experience with them?

Ive got a 6x24 Lightseeker on my Savage 10fp.  Its a great scope and ive been popping ground hogs with the combo for over a year now. Ive got BSA's on two of my other guns and i prefer the Pentax (except for te price)
