Frens - What would be the correct sling, bayonet, mag pouches for the AR70/90?
I have some tan colored 3 mag pouches for NATO 30 rd mags that are made in Italy - have no idea if they are for AR70/90 or ARX160 series or both? |
|
I’m not a beretta expert but if I recall correctly the GI sling is a 2 or 3 point sling with metal hooks.. similar to the one used by the PM12 or Spas12.
As for mag pouch I’ve seen domestic made clones of the American LC2 pouches with buckle closure as well as IDF style pouches with Velcro closure. Standard gear is OD but tan stuff was made as well. The bayonet is based on the M1 carbine one.. Italian bayos also have a S/N (not matched to the rifle). Here’s a good source for pics and info (in Italian) https://www.collezionareexordinanza.it/scheda/74/BERETTA-AR70-90/ ETA: these are the parts |

The cleaning tool is reminiscent of the BM59 combo tool. |

Apex has the sets back in stock of anyone missed them before.
https://www.apexgunparts.com/beretta-ar70-90-parts-set-gd.html They don't look as good as the free ones. |

That's pretty f-in' good. It looks certainly usable, and I wouldn't hesitate to do so.

Noel, We will be making barrels and may make receiver shells and/or rails. Please check back on the website for updates. Thanks, Mark: |

Quoted: Receiver flats and some of the internals are available other places. Dunno if you get banned here for posting links to sellers. I'm working on my kit, but my build thread is not on this site but over at militaryfirearm.com Katzma, are you planning to build the SBR SCP70/90 version, or just the SC70/90? https://i.imgur.com/qxPohCch.jpg https://i.imgur.com/SbAGuwph.jpg View Quote Welcome to ARFCOM. OK, I bought a kit and some mags.
I don't have the shop or ability to do the work. Hopefully someone will be able to build for folks from the kits up. |

Xnke and katzma, didn't know you guys were over here. It's been along time since I got back to arfcom. Been a bit boring at other sites.
You guys know who I am. |

Somebody is doing something for the AR70/90.

Quoted: Saw that. I'm #85 on his list. He said receiver kit will likely be around $350. I imagine the barrel will be the difficult part to find View Quote Looks like he will be doing barrels too. For sale is stamped 80% receiver for the Beretta AR70. Comes with drawing. This auction is for the AR70 full receiver section only. This receiver will not fit the AR70/90. Shipping will be $10... As you can see in the pics I now have AR70/90 full 80% receiver section coming up for sale soon. We will also have the rails, rear trunnion , trunnion repair tabs, and barrels for sale. 80% Receiver , rails , rear trunnion are projected to be available in large quantities some time in January. A few barrels will be available as well (maybe 10) As barrel blanks are not available at this time. Barrels will be available in sufficient quantities around May. Receivers once assembled will not accept a lower receiver with the auto sear and will not allow a bolt with the auto trip lug to be installed, both will need to be removed. |
|
Wish we had more info on who the seller is. I am also interested in who will produce the semi auto parts that we will need for the trigger housing as well as the bolt.
As per my earlier comment a few pages back....do we have any idea how many AR 70/90 parts kits were brought into the country? |
|
Anyone making barrels for these yet? (I browsed the thread and did not see barrels mentioned, but maybe I missed it)

View Quote If you look a little closer, all of the modern twist blanks in .223 are sold out. I believe they have been for a while. All that’s left are 1/12 and 1/14 blanks. I was actually considering making some basic AR-70/90 barrels to sell, but the lack of blanks has put the brakes on that idea. |
|
Looks like the tightest twist you can get is 1:9" right now. Not surprising, given the current run - much like Sandy Hook. Ordered a .458 SOCOM upper from Rock River (MFBUT) and it took more than a year to get it in b/c no one was making .458 bolts.

Quoted: The seller that's making the 80% receivers. I emailed him telling him I'd like to purchase a set and when they would be available. He said I was #85 on his list and should he available end of January-ish. Think his initial run is 100 sets. View Quote View All Quotes View All Quotes Quoted: Quoted: What list do you speak of? View Quote Yea really guess you haven't been paying attention.Try finding a galil barrel anywhere. |
|
|
Quoted: Galil bbls would be a scarce item in normal times. Blanks are available. How hard is a Galil bbl to make? View Quote In years past, they actually were not too hard to find. With parts kits coming in semi-regularly for a while, It’s not a particularly complex barrel. But there is some metric threading to contend with. It’s fairly slender, but that’s not really that difficult to deal with, just a consideration. The journal for the gas block is a press fit, so obviously tolerance on that section is kinda tight. So all in all, not particularly difficult. |
|
Well, I am on the list...so I will let everyone know how it plays out with these new receivers.
|
|
I picked one up for 200. Figured it was cheap enough and I got on the list for the upper receiver.
|
|
I also got a kit coming in form APEX. Following with much interest as I now need the same stuff as the rest of you guys.
I had 2 Ar 70 kits years ago I sent to a gunsmith in Texas, he never returned them. |
