Yup, a LGS had a mint, seemingly unfired K1A1 for $899. Yes, $899.

I now have a strong desire to rooftop Korean.

Awesome buy. I always wanted one but never bought. It seems like I never saw them when I had money. I wouldn't think about them. I'd go in and order a gun from my dealer, and when I'd go in to pick it up a few days later, he'd have one. Of course, my money would have already been spent.

There is a gunstore around Fort Bragg I used to go to, and I follow them on FB. They post up the used guns they take in on a daily basis.

@vellnueve, I paid $1,000 for my Daewoo K2 and S&W 669 in a package deal. The Daewoo was unfired.

great price, I have been tempted by the few I see always around $1200 to 1500. I have a K2 so I have been able to resist adding a K1A1. But at $899, I would have bought it.

Looks just like what the ROK soldiers and Airmen had when I was stationed in Korea. Pretty neat little rifles. They were the perfect weapon for that country.
