i like fixed power and have had good luck with the current Weaver k-series 4x38....about $150 and only 9.9oz. IMHO 15oz is too heavy for a lightweight rifle, i would top out my choices at 12oz.

My Burris Timberline 3-9x32 comes in at 13 oz. Good little scope for the money.
