I like the MSRP around $1500, street should be around $1200.

If this thing shoots like a SCAR i.e. lower recoil would dominate the market

I hope he is correct with us seeing it "this year", last I heard was from the Shot Show and they said 3 years out!

I was jonesing for an ACR back in the day, but I really want to get my hands on this Beretta (even if it is kinda spacegunish).

Sounds like Beretta is clued in on the "sweet spot" for pricing, just hope that meshes with reality.  At least Beretta owns this end-to-end unlike certain other AR-18-based debacles of recent years.

All together, I really like what I've read and seen about the ARX-160.

Hell yes!

Finally!  If someone releases a folding stock, piston carbine that rtakes AR mags and doesn't price itself nearly out of the market than it would be so cool!

And Beretta has resources and know-how!

If they keep the pricing point in that reasonable area and if they aren't plagued by the recalls that plague many new guns than I predict awesomeness.

There is room in my heart for an AR and one of these.

I am really happy about the new ETA, and the possible $1500.00 price tag. It is going to make have to think twice about the Tavor.

I passed this off as a fad before but I am getting more and more interested, has any on seen the bolt? if it is not the typical 8 lug style I would be interested.

If it comes it at that price, I will sell my 556 Classic and get one

So is the boycott over? Don't they have some not cool views on their own countrymens ability to procure their products? I don't own anything they make yet.

With the quick change barrel system, I'm interested to see what accuracy ends up being with decent factory ammo.

good price point (hope that number is true)

I didnt give this gun much attention, Ive been wanting to get into the advanced carbine game...but price point was keeping me away, at 1500$ or lower, beretta has a winner, a certain other company needs to take notes.

Scar prices are just now starting to be in the REALM of reasonable. IF the AR-160 comes out, you can count on the 1st year or so of $3000 pricing by FFLs.

I agree. Hopefully they won't pull a Bushmaster.....

The upgraded SF version is the better variant.  It has a more resilient composite material formula & ditches the dinky BUIS of the std model for a straight flat top that you can mount aftermarket BUIS of your choice.

I like the idea of a left side charging handle that doesn't get in the way, with right side ejection, and it quickly breaks down into a small enough package that I can actually take it places without looking like I have a rifle case.

Also, yes, novelty and the unknown.

Of the SCAR, Bushamsters fascimilie of the Masada and the like, this rifle is most appealing to me. I will buy one once available for sure.

The fuss is all the bells and whistles it comes with. I will be getting one as soon as they are available, and the hoped for price point.

The fuss is also that the ARX is only MIL grade one out that is truly multi-caliber and mags.
The Masada was supposed to be multi-caliber, but Bushy fucked us.
Note that the top is a late version and bottom pic is an early rifle.

Pics of the 7.62x39 caliber conversion that uses AK mags.

It looks bulky, but so far all the reports are that the looks are deceiving and it's really darn ergonomic.

The weapon has been heavily tested and fielded in combat on two continents now.

The stock is fine.

The rifle is not "bulky". It handles very well.

Apparently rifles aren't supposed to be about function anymore, they're fashion accessories.

Probably like the SF variant.  Note the continuous, uninterrupted top rail & the re-contoured grip.  Rumor has it the plastic has also been reformulated to improve durability compared to the gen-1 model.

I still prefer my black rifles dressed in black.

I like the concept, but I'd like it a lot more if they would get rid of all the crazy space-shit going on. These eye-talians need to understand that they're designing a gun, not a car. I'd much prefer this:

I really like that rifle, I'd love to see beretta realistically price it, and destroy the ACR in sales

Beretta could score a coup here.

I think they should do away with the bottom rail, slim it down and use the same mounting system for a bottom rail as they do the side rail.... also I'm still interested in what accuracy is achievable with this new quick change barrel system.
