What say you? The 770 is a gussied up 710. 
The best I can about the 770 is that it works, at least it works better than the 710 did. $150 is not a bad price for this, though. Your money, your choice. |

Don't do it! Buy a used lever Marlin 336 instead.

Thanks guys, you talked me out of it.
I sold a Remington 742 30-06 because it was a piece of junk. No need to buy another - even if it is only $150. |
