I have seen mixed reviews on them. I have held them and worked the action, but don't own one and have not fired one yet so I can't say much.

From what I've handled and read, I'd save the coin or find a nice used Winchester 94. I've bought a couple in the past year for sub $400.
I have heard reports of the extractor snapping on several 464's. |

I bought one, shot a box thru it and traded it. I didnt like it. Accuracy was not there and I really disliked the tang safety. Quality was OK, but nothing to get too excited about. I am a Marlin guy and I guess I have high standards.

I would love to have one, want to pick up a marlin first though, after a good fighting shotgun, after so on and so forth
