I've just about decided to get a XCR.  What is the best place to purchase one.  I have never one at any of the Houston area gunshows, so what is the best route to take when purchasing one.  I looked on Robinson's website and saw the order form.  How long does it take for a rifle to ship after the order has been submitted?  Any info would be appreciated.

I stole this from another forum. Doug's had some in stock last time I talked with them.  You'd just need an FFL in TX to ship to.

The XCR is a fantastic rifle. Disregard any of the soap opera and focus on the product and you will be glad you got one. One of the best deals out there in my opinion.  If you are in any way anxious to get one quick, don't order direct though. You are probably looking at a minimum of 4 months.  Plus it is cheaper to purchase from another source.  Even Gunbroker of all places has had a couple decent deals lately.

I jumped on one recently in the EE used for $1400, and then the following week there was one for $1300, which is a great deal.

To the list of stocking dealers, add:

Gallenson's in Salt Lake City, UT
(801) 328-2016

They often have one or two in stock.

Thanks for all the info.  I'm still really torn between a XCR or a MSAR, so I'm doing my research.  It seems like both are fantastic rifles, I just need to decide which one I want.  I know about how much MSARs are at Houston gunshows, but I didn't know about new pricing on an XCR.  Again, thanks for the info.

Champions in College Station emailed me to say they had one in stock. I didn't ask price....
