I have no idea, but the first "big" rifle I ever fired was a Ruger M77 in .375 H&H magnum
Much more impressive than the Barrett M82A1 I fired...  ETA: Looks like a Simmons scope on it, so whoever bought it is not the weathiest person I expect. NIB retail probably around $1,000... |

Actually the guy WAS a millionaire. He just did not believe in spending money on optics.

That appears to be one of the fairly recent CRF Model 70s which was discontinued a few years back. These guns are now being manufactured by Winchester (FN) in one of the Carolinas they will be available soon if not already. The prices on Winchesters at this time are all over the place and will soon start settleing. If that is one of the PF Guns I would expect it to run around 700 bux, if a CRF Gun around 900 bux (gun only). The Winchesters being produced now are priced to compete with the Kimber 8400, from a quality stand point I'm not sure they can do it.

When the bolt is closed can you see the extractor?

No. I mean you can see the side of the extractor the actual lip that extracts the cartridge is covered.

If you can see the extractor running along side the bolt it is a CRF Gun. (Thats a good thing)
If you are considering buying this rifle, they are an exceptional rifle.

Ok thanks I just found an MSRP of 1150 for new on a page that said these are no longer available reference only. This rifle is unfired but is missing the rear sight would 850 be a reasonable price?

Actually 850 bux for that gun unfired in that condition is more like stealing.

If I wanted that gun as it sits in unfired condition I would expect to pay between 900bux and 1000bux and if I had to pay 1k I would. How bad is the chip on the pistol grip and is there anything else ?

Easy $1000-1300 as I have seen Super Expresses sell on the online auctions for well over $900 for used ones.

The chip is small and shallow there are a few (2-3) rub marks on the barrel. This is safe damage. He had to many guns in to small a safe.
