First I have seen of it. Looks like a neat idea for those 5.7 enthusiasts. Ammo is a little too expensive for me though.

Actually 5.7x28 ammo is less than good quality .223/5.56, and 9mm rounds.
I mean the SS197/SS195 rounds can be used well for self-defense and hunting, just sadly there is no 'cheap' plinking type of 5.7x28 on the market. The AR upper is a good concept for having the ability to swap calibers easily, but I'm passing on it. |

I want one.......it would be a fun unit with 50 rounds......yup, they have 50 round boxes on the shelf here for $21, that is less then the 5.56.....the cheapest 9mm is still less, but I just think it would be fun.

I understand it but it still doesn't interest me. YMMV.  OTOH, the top-magazine/magwell-eject design for an AR upper is very novel and appeals to me a lot. This upper comes closer to making want to add 5.7 to the roster than any previous offerings have... but still no cigar for me. Not yet... |

how about the same upper style (top fed mag, mag well ejection) for a useful claiber thats not common in an ar design...like 7.62x25 or 10mm.
i know nothing of the feeding qualities of either round, but both seem more useful than the 5.7mm. |

I'll take one in .30 Carbine. A similar magazine could probably be created to feed .30 Carbine. Rifle would be gas operated, not blowback. And maybe one could also load heavier bullets, say 180 grain, to subsonic velocities. |

Hey, I still want a PS90 in 5.56...
FWIW, the upper conversion IS pretty neat. Basically a PS90 for 1/3rd the cost, and the ability to go full auto with a registered lower...which is something pretty much no one can otherwise do with the 5.7. |

You may not like the 5.7 round but WHY do people keep saying the ammo is too expensive? In my area it costs exactly the same as Wolf 5.56 ammo. Cabellas has it for $19.00 per box of 50. That is the same as paying $7.60 for a 20 round box of Wolf 5.56 which is the going price in my area. Do people have that hard a time doing the math? And if you reload it is the same as your home brew 5.56

dont know about the feeding qualities of each round. tho now i have a pretty good understanding of mrnuke7175 lack of reading comprehension.
i know that the 7.62tok and 10mm arent just flat shooting .22s. that being said this set up i see significantly more ergonomic than the ps90, and significantly more versatile. if i wanted a new over price firearm that shot ineffective expensive ammo, id be sooooo all over this one. |

Agreed, on all three counts. In this market, can you imagine how far out of the park they'd have knocked this one if they'd done the *exact* same thing in .22LR? |

Because aparently its cool to not like the 5.7. I have a PS90 and its a very nice weapon. Its a PDW round that has a practical purpose. Some just dont like it. That is a neat upper. I might get one. I have 5000 rounds of 5.7 so having another rifle to feed would be nice. |

I love it when arm chair warriors say it's just a pointy 22mag. Let's see, 30gr. 22WMR = 1,910 fps @ 285ft/lbs. from 16" bbl and will not penetrate body armor. 28gr. 5.7x28 = 2,300 fps @ 390 ft/lbs. from 16" bbl and will penetrate four layers of second chance body armor. I may not be the sharpest tool in the shed but the ballistics DO NOT look the same to me. It wasn't too hard to find these stats on the internet.
