Hang the typical ARFCOM stuff off the new SIG 556 SWAT, add the new Magpul UBR stock, and see what happens... (well, besides ending up with a 13lb rifle).

ETA: B&T railed forearm added

You could probably find a picture of the Brugger and Thomet 551 rail system that would make it look a little more natural.

I'll pass, but someone may like it.

What kind of stock is that on the bottom pic?

Looks like a Tapcoized WASR, but worse. I was looking forward to the civie 55x, but  I wish I looked more like the original.

ETA: I'm refering to the top one, but the bottom one is only slightly better.

B&T: Brugger & Thomet
They make rails for a bunch of guns, Mostly HK Sig and Steyr
and they are expensive

If you're asking about the collapsible stock, it's the new Magpul UBR.

All that extra crap makes it look (dare I say) even worse than it already does.

IF it bred with a fish you'd have this:

I looked at the SIG parts here in Europe.. A complete semi lower with folder and pistol grip would run one about $1000.....

Are they available in quantity?

Redo the photshop with a S&B Short Dot in a Larue mount!  The M900 is too small to be correct proportion.

Also been posted elsewhere that the original SIG55x folder can fit right on in place of the AR stock.

As much as I liked the Sig sniper rifle in The Bourne Identity its the only Sig rifle I like.

The second one's a big improvement. I think the lines in the 556 factory stock and forend take away from the looks significanty.

I'd prefer an original SG 551 with a flat top and B&T rail, but for under $1200 I may consider the 556 SWAT.

i like the ones Variablebinary's image shows... i don't think it's an eyesore, i actually find it very appealing.

i'll have to shoot it before i make my decision, but i am really quite interested in the gun.

i had an SL8/G36 conversion that looked great but just felt awkward (don't all SL8s?), i hope this is one that remains true to the original.

I gotta be honest, I love the thing.  I would just need some minor changes in the furniture, and a flush mounted rail, then I'd be all set.  A folding assembly wouldn't hurt, but I don't need it like some here seem to.  I wouldn't mind a removable BUIS style diopter sight either.

I will buy it.  Might put an ACE on it.  Then I will shoot the heck out of it, and probably enjoy very minute.
