Impact is offering them, just thought you would like to know.

or if you already have a PS90 then you could spend the extra $250 (and BATF $200) and do your own.

It sounds as if the flash hider is not included.

If I were to buy one, it would definitely be the SBR. They just don't look right with the long barrel hanging out.

The benefit of buying a factory SBR is not having to engrave your personal info on the receiver somewhere. It's really no big deal on an AR-15, but I'd hate to do it on something like the PS90.

Actually, that looks like its a factory barrel. No cutting.

So even looking at the price for the non-SBR, prices have gone up considerably from when Impact was taking preorders.  Even not counting the $200 tax, that's 1800 clams to ship it to your dealer.  Good for Impact, if people will pay that.

cmmg is making these barrels. You may be better of going direct to them.

I think that is what impact is going to do. They plan on getting the CMMG barrel and putting it in. This is all pointless argument at the moment since the Impact waiting list is close to 300 long and only about the first 10-20 have actually gotten a rifle so far. It could be close to a year before one of those SBRs even ship.

Does anyone know the thread pattern on the ps90?

$1600 PS90
$200 tax stamp
$250 barrel
flash suppressor

Do you think its really worth all that to cut your velocity by 100-150 fps? After being used to the way the PS90 looks, I'm less than impressed by the P90's shorter barrel. It looks like something is missing.

since i have plenty of time to think about it before i actually receive a rifle i've thought about going the SBR route.  while I would prefer it, cosmetically speaking, i'd rather somebody produce a shoroud that looks like a suppressor so that I can keep the 100-150 fps and lose the ugly looks

I want a rifle that will fit in my backpack in the ready to fire position, not folded or broken down.  My back pack is about 21" tall.

What is missing on the SBR is the QD suppressor.  That gets it back to 16" of overall barrel length again.  Cant wait to see all the suppressors that will be released for the P90.

Velocity?  P90 is weak as shit... its like the .32 ACP of rifles.  Strictly a fun and emergency defense piece.

Modify your backpack for an extra 5" or so. I thought CMMG was selling the P90 flash suppressor that works with the Gemtech spring bi-lock mechanism?

I dont think CMMG has them in stock yet QD but should soon. From one of their posts they will only work witht eh 5.7 suppressor. The QD lugs are different then those used on the 5.56 suppressor and thus not interchangeable.

I saw a Gemtech 5.7 can on a full auto demo unit about 2 years ago.  It was a very slick set up.  Its what got me interested in teh civilian PS90 before there were plans of it even being released.

How much barrel sticks out past the front of the receiver?   Might be fun to send one down to SRT for an integral suppressor.   No engraving and you get the suppressor without extra length.

When you do the SBR on the PS90 and add a suppressor, it's about the same length as the PS90.

But you're in another $200 in tax and dont have to engrave personal info on the rifle.   Plus if you sell it you can seperate the barrel and sell the suppressor to some other foaming at the mouth PS90 owner.

Yep.

I don't think they are Factory SBRs from FN, they look like CMMG deals.
