Very well done !  Is that a leapers scope mount I see ,or the
B& T ?

If it's the leapers how do you like it so far ?

I think I would paint up a bunch of mags as well, not
nearly as perfect as yours ,but just enough to break up the
all black color.

That really does look like you paid someone to paint it.

You should do that for living-its looks better than a camo'd M1A stock I bought from a so-called
professional on gunbroker.

Heh, heh, heh....  In fact, I am doing it professionally!    This post is a teaser to see what you think of my work.

It took 6 hours to apply the masks to add the TS Green, and 2 1/2 hours to take them off.  But it did come out nice, and I will be using it on my Web site as an example of what I strive for.

Thanks for the feedback!

To answer the questions above: it's a B&T mount, and the pattern is based on Lauer's AmStripe, but created by hand.  Each piece is cut from masking tape.

With a paint job like that, I'd lose it the first time I set it down outdoors.

Ten so far.  Number eleven is soaking in the tank and will be getting a Viet Nam Tiger Stripe camo today.  Number twelve is arriving today/tomorrow.  Four shotguns; and five pistols.

That's enough to know how to fix mistakes, which is what separates an amateur from someone doing it for a living.  Nothing leaves my shop until it is perfect, and your satisfaction is guaranteed.

One of my customers is a gunsmith, who was doing DuraCoat himself.  I do it better, faster, and for less $, so he brings his work to me.  He doesn't want anyone to know because he charges the customer full price and wants them to think he did it.  But I'm rambling.

Thanks for the nice comments.
