Does anybody know the quality of this stuff?   A friend of mine might want to get rid of some and I wanted to know how much to pay and is it any good.    Think it was imported in the 90's.  He says it runs great, but didn't shot alot of it.  Brass cased in a green 20rd box with a gear wheel and a picture of Venezuela on it.

Thanks for your help.

WaMag:

I found the Cavim ammo roughly comparable to Portuguese - although less accurate than Port, it was just as clean burning.  Port is Berdan primed and Cavim is boxer primed (reloadable).  HTH

it's the only 308 I can think of that wasn't reliable in an HK91... flutes got too dirty from tar sealant... do some searching and I'm sure you'll come up with the horror stories yourself...
