I have a M77 in .280 cal. The problem is with factory bullets when I load a shell and then eject it without firing, it pulls the bullet out of the case. Is there something wrong with the chamber? It does it on all brands of bullets. All are factory loads.

I would assume that the throat of the chamber is either short, really dirty or rough from corrosion.  I would pollish it a bit and try again.  A gun smith with a bore scope could tell you what is going on for sure.

The gun is new and the barrel is stainless, I know it can still corrode, but it isnt dirty, if the throat is too short, how do I fix it.
