does anyone know about an amt 45 cal full size pistol. found one at a pawn shop for $250.00. never heard of one and was wondering if it was a good gun.

AMT was made by Arcadia Machine & Tool. They made quite a few off these in the 1980's IIRC. Generally, I would stay away from them as they had a very spotty record for operation, reliability  and constuction to specifications. The $250 you spend on one of these may be better put towards    the cheapest model of Springfield. Good luck. Charles the Gunsmith.

I have one on right now and it is a dependable little handgun. Mine shoots just fine at the distance it was intended for. I also had a AMT 380 back-up but the caliber sucked although the gun worked fine with no malfunctions....$250 is probably a little steep, talk him down to $200
