That Ruger wheelgun must have had a triple charge or a barrel obstruction. Thats the first time I've ever heard of a large frame Ruger wheelgun KB. Any details on it?

That was one of the bad Sakos.  At least three in Oregon alone blew up, I think.  That picture is from one in Canada and the shooter had some injuries on his right hand.  There are tons of pics online of blown up Sakos from that one batch.

The Savage was a .300 Ultra Mag, that either had a way too hot load, was headspaced wrong, or both.  The shooter was known to be careless with his reloads (so we suspect could be careless with his barrel switching technique too), was running a pretty hot load, switched to a Barnes bullet (I think) which builds more pressure, and couldn't positively identify what powder he was using  Was shooting at some outdoor benches with a shelter above, after the KB part of the reciever was dug out of the rafters the next day.  No lost fingers.

The guy next to him (who took these pictures) got hit in the head with some flying metal but it was nothing serious.  He did bleed though and said his ears rang for days.

Was the Sako fired while very cold?  I've heard that the stainless barrels (especially very thin ones) will KB when temps are very low.

the only place I have seen a glock break from shooting before now was on the slide at the foward bottom of the ejection port.  Till I saw this thread

I KB'ed my HK Tactical .45,  the case looked just like the ones the pics.

It cost me $400 to have HK replace everything but the barrel.

I was shooting my reloads 240gr Golden Sabres. I think the bullet got pushed back in it's case when it chambered on the 3rd or 4th round.

There was one hell of a boom and the pistol flipped out of my hands. The bottom of the mag blew out and the frame was cracked all the way the magwell. There was also the same chunk missing out of the right side of the frame as in the above pics.

I was shocked but not really injured. My hand and my pride hurt a little.

It's not hard to blow up a Super black hawk.  When I was young, I had a friend over to help me load.  Was running green dot with cast bullets and the idiot thought that if he just threw in a couple of powder drops in the case, it would make the loads even more magnum.

Didn't find out about his special loads until the gun came apart in my hands.

I think that may be the one where the guy used Reloader 7 data with AA#7. He thought they were the same.

I don't know of a picture of a Barrett. But if you do a search there was a COBB 50BMG that KB about two months ago. The damange did not look as bad as one would think but it did blow up the mag well.

It was a COBB straight pull 50BMG in Tan Dura Coat.
