Archived [ARCHIVED THREAD] - How do I know if my Z-Rod is working

Well I bought my first Gun safe.  I also picked up the dehumb Z-Rod for it.  I plugged it in and that was it.  There is not heat, humming, lights nothing to tell me that this thing is even on.  How can I tell if this thing is working or broken?

I'm not familiar with a z rod but my golden rod gets warm enough that i wouldn't want to hold it.

Thanks.  I had just plugged it in before I went to work.  I will check it when I get home to see if it is warm.
