"Haunted Tank". The original tank was a M-37 Stuart, not a Sherman, IIRC. Hence the ghost of "Jeb Stuart", Civil War General. |

I can only remember:
1. Japanese Nambu machine gun and 5. Sgt. Rock's M1 Thompson. I hope another "fogie" can remember more. FYI - It's a DC Comic about WW2 you wippersnappers. |

If you want to really go back try EC comics Two Fisted Tales. They had some great artists who could really
 accurately draw weapons and GI gear. If my mother hadn't cleaned out my comlcs when I went in the Army I'd be sitting pretty now.

Still wrong... The orignal tank was a M3 Stuart light tank as in the picture. It had a 37mm main gun. The M3 medium tanks where the Grant and Lee but with a 75mm main gun on the right side of the hull and a 37mm in a small turrent on top. Turrents differed between the two. The Sherman was the M4 series. Loved both comics.... CD |

Sgt Fury ROCKED!
That was my absolute favorite comic. Those were great days, waiting for them to put out the new issues at the Wiesbaden Exchange, I was about 10 I guess. I saved and scrapped and bought every one I could get my paws on. DaddyDett |

Loved G.I. Combat and SGT Rock, but Weird War Tales was the best DC war comic.

Only the best damn comic book an impressionable 8 year old could buy!!! My mom didn't like them but it was the only way she could me to read w/o browbeating me. Those and Conan the Barbarian got me reading on my own. Don't tell me you don't know Who Conan is?!!! (And nooOOoo Arnold was not the first incarnation of Conan.) Young whipper snappers every where these days....  Back on topic... I remember reading every one of those sounds. I just can't place them after 28 years. Kent |

Shit Ya. Sgt Rock and Ghost Tank Rocked....awesome comics. You juvenile Deliquents would be to young to have been blessed with the originals. Ahh the good ole days. I became a Tanker because of Comics like Ghost Tank....
Do they still run either of those Comics anymore? or is that part of a by gone era.....? |

I still have a box full of those comics. I thought it was called "G.I. Combat"? I also have a few SGT. Fury's, Unknown Soldiers, and Sgt. Rock.
Loved G.I. Combat as it gave you multiple stories in one comic. |
