Is there any certain amount that I'm limited to buying at a certain time? or any level that will flag atf or anything?  The most I've bought is 500 rounds at a time and they swiped my ID in the register at wal-mart for that.  usually they just enter my date of birth but I usually only buy a box or 2.

Weird, usually they just check your name to a list of NO-NO bad guys, who they will not sell to.Oh, and ofcourse if you're 18 for rifle, and 21 for pistol ammunition.

I'm 24 but they usually just punch in rifle ammo anyway.  There are .40 cal rifles out there lol.

Going back about 6 or 7 years ago, one of the local gunshops had Wolf 7.62x39 on sale for $69 per 1000 rnds. There were 5 of us at work who either had SKS's or AK's, so we did our own "group buy". That was a fun phone call---------[me] Hi, I'd like to pick up some ammo today, and wanted to make sure you had enough in stock. [/me] [shop owner] Ya, shoudn't be a problem you want a case or two?[/shop owner] [me] Well, I need 12 cases, if you have it. [/me] [shop owner] You know they're a 1000 to a case, not 100, right?[/shop owner] [me] Yes, I need 12,000 rounds sir, can you give me a total and when can I come get it?[/me] [shop owner] (muffled)...shit, HONEY! you need to go to the storage unit!!![/shop owner].

I did go on to explain that there was 5 of us going on on it, and just wanted to send me after it. He felt a little better after hearing that. I think he thought I was starting my own militia or something .........and boy did my car sit a tad low with 12 cases in the trunk!!!

I bought 13000 rounds of various ammo ranging from .380 to 7.62x25 all the way up to 7.62x54 and 5000 rounds was .308.  never had a problem.  but then again it was at J&G sales, where buying 13k is just over "poser" status.

Ya, this is funny!  Every gun show I go to here in Phx., you can always pick out J&G.
If you see stacks of ammo in wooden cases ... That must be J&G!!!!
Almost a "Right of Passage" at every gunshow!!!!  I love AZ. for it's gun shows!
