I am considering a Colt 22 (last produced 1998?) in stainless steel / polymer. They always felt great at the shop, but are they okay? Is it a good plinker or a POS? This one happens to be in as-new condition in box. Thanks for any feedback!

i bought one not too long ago but I have not shot it as of yet.

I like the slide lock back but the mag release is a bit odd.

I like mine ALOT.
had it for years, never had a problem with it, the only think I'm not thrilled with is the safety on the back of the slide.  The mag release, if you think about it, is just like an AR.

i had one since '94 and recently traded it off.  it was a great little gun.  was more than accurate enough.   however it sat in my safe because the magazine release pissed me off so bad.  i bought it to carry for small game hunting.  i did carry it once, and only once hunting.  when you put it in a holster the mag release gets depressed and the mag pops out.  i spent the whole day picking the mag up from the ground.   it is a great gun, just not in a holster.
