Archived [ARCHIVED THREAD] - Best way to re attach the front sight on a Nagant?

The front sight on my Nagant M44 will absolutley not stay on, were they originally soldered on?  Anyone have any suggestions?

take a hammer and a punch and lightly peen it on both sides
