Funnest firearm that I own.

I've got one, had it for about a month now.  Well made, excellent finish.  I would tell you how it shoots, but I'm still waiting on a barrel.  Supposed to ship next week, but they told me I'd have it by the 19th of December too.

Here is a pic of mine with the dummy barrel installed.

Great gun, tough, easy to clean, multiple calibers, cheap, easy to change parts, what's not to like?

Looks bad ass, insanely accurate, zero recoil, fun to shoot, cheap mags, cheap ammo, I love mine!!!!

You will be shocked at how heavy they are.

I shot a full-auto one about a year ago with the .22LR kit installed. My wife really enjoyed it as well, and wants one. Only problem is that she wants the full-auto version or nothing, and I cannot afford to add another machinegun to the collection right now.

I own the full auto with the .22 kit.  The absolute most fun firearm I own.  Easy to clean, accurate, and will digest anything I give it.  I got mine when they were ~$2700, but I wouldn't take $10K for it now....someday maybe, just not now.....

Love both of mine (mini/standard Vector):
- lots of caliber changes
- reliable (will eat any ammo, though 22LR is a little finicky - but aren't they all on any platfrom?)
- easy to clean
- simple

They're are probably better SMG's out there, but the UZI is the one for the enthusiast who doesn't have an armorer at hand.

Love mine in 22LR. Since I settled on Winchester "High Velocity", it runs close to 100%.

Going to try my 45ACP kit out this spring.

Mini is a blast.

Got mine a little late in the game ($4K for standard/$5K for mini). If course, I traded an EA/RR that I had only paid $5.5K for in the first place for both of them.

I'll chime in on how much I like mine in 4-6 months.

Don't forget that he may be looking for a semi-auto version. Definitely a lot cheaper than the full-auto ones.

Yup.  It will be semi-auto if it happens.

Heavy, but fun!  Easier to clean than an AK, and the folder makes it look badass.  Not easy to mount optics (at least not as easy as on an AR).  Definitely the best "hey, lets go have some fun at the range" gun I own.

I would say that the vector is very nice. I would buy another if in had the money, very accurate.I can hit a golf ball with it at 50 yards with almost every shot. Very fun weapon.

I saw one in a local shop a couple months ago, price was insanely cheap, relatively, around$650 I think.  Quality looked good.  But I got a semi IMI and had no interest in it

So, can I buy the ugly carbine and then later, if I want, pay the $200 tax and have a gunsmith legally cut the barrell down for me?

Not sure how this works.

It's called  a short barreld rifle.  You could buy a pre cut down bbl for it, the semi bbls are reduced in diameter at the chamber end whereas the full autos are not  If you can't find a ready made bbl like that it's probably cheaper to get a full auto bbl and have the chamber end spun on a lathe to reduce it's OD

Shot a semi carbine once. Not impressed. Bad sights and ergonomics. The grip safety is a pain in the ass. The mag release is a pain. I prefer a 9mm AR.
