Just purchased a synthetic youth stock for my 700 ADL, and unfortunately it's hollow.  Sounds like a bongo drum every time I tap it.  Any suggestions on how to stop that noise?  I was thinking some spray foam insulation, but does anyone have a better idea?

Fill it with that expanding foam stuff you can buy at a hardware store.

Don't tap it?

Too easy!

Actually, I'm worried about the noise it would make as a branch drags across it while walking in the woods.   Loud noise=no critters for a while.

The spray foam insulation wil work well for you - just remember to get it "capped off" before the foam expands all the way...
