Archived [ARCHIVED THREAD] - Shortest/lightest overall .308 magazine fed rifle. Opinions?

Intersted in a small, light .308 rifle.  Considering MIA socom 16, DSA FAL-style 16", or even Armalite 16" carbine AR10.  But all of these are still 36-37" and weight in at just under 9 pounds.  Not exactly small or light....

Suggestions?  opinions?
