EDIT: I can't post the pics now, will have to later.

Lower quality pics; in the first picture, you can see that some of the operators on land are carrying suppressed P-90's.

The Belgian ESI (now known as DSU) replaced the HK MP5 with the FN P-90 and also use the Five-seveN.

Peruvian SF operators with P-90's in the Lima, Peru incident:

http://img10.exs.cx/img10/8373/9223.jpg

http://img33.exs.cx/img33/766/9184.jpg

The Lima, Peru raid was an outstanding success and the leader of the terrorists was killed with one chest shot through Level III body armor fired from the team leader's suppressed P-90. Here is some more info I found regarding the assault:

I remember reading that the P90 got its first human kill on that little outing- apparently FN were all over them asking how the weapon performed.

I have met some of the people involved in the embassy attack in peru. The most ordinary bunch of people i ever met. They have a close bond to each other ever since that event.

In refrence to the US civvie market

Currently in development is a semi-automatic carbine based on the P90

This is definetly happy news, I'd rather have an civvie FN2000, but I'll take a P90 any day!

Yep; probably the best word to describe the P-90 would innovation. I have no idea how someone could think up such a gun. Somewhere I heard the name of the person that thought up the magazine, but I can't remember it. I've still got plenty of pics left.

Cyprus National Guard with P-90's:

http://img38.exs.cx/img38/8008/337_3.jpg

The Cyprus National Guard purchased 350 P-90's and 250 Five-seveN's in 2000; the Cyprus Army SF use them as well.

Supposedly the Dutch Army is replacing the Glock 17 with the FN Five-seveN; have you heard anything about this?

Note that this officer would not be able to fire an MP5 in the position he is in because of the magazine length, but no problem as it is.

If its good enough for the French GIGN (one of the most elite CT units in the world), its good enough for me; the French GIGN also use the FN Five-seveN.

After looking up the specs (and converting from mm, argh) it looks like a P90 semi with at least 6'' (6.5'' to be safe) added barrel will meet required overall length and 16'' barrel length

# Caliber: 5.7x28mm SS190
# Weight: 2.54 kg empty; 3 kg loaded with magazine with 50 rounds
# Length: 500 mm = 19.685''
# Barrel length: 263 mm = more than 10''
# Rate of fire: 900 rounds per minute
# Magazine capacity: 50 rounds
# Effective range: 200 meters

Which means it, if im not mistaken, would have an added civvie barrel that is less idiot-looking than the added length on Spechul Wepuns MP5s.

I think this thing has potential... if they keep the price under $1200 and made ammo more readilly available, i think it could be a keeper.

No, they're not.  Plain and simple.  I would check your source or where ever you got that notion from.  They issue the P229 in .357sig as their side arm.  The only thing they have done so far with the  five seven, is look at it.

Let's just say I got it straight from the horeses mouth.   I'm sure they're considering using the pistol, but as of now, it's not operational with them.

For those interested, here is a nice P-90 promotional video: www.defensereview.com/modules.php?name=News&file=article&sid=471

Its definitely worth a download: shows it pierce 48 layers of kevlar and a CRISAT vest, shows a guy shoot a P-90 in each hand, and shows how the round will not overpenetrate concrete, and much more.

The agents guarding the WH use the Five-seveN, and the other agents use the Sig like you said.

I guess if you are pumping 12 rounds in a guy in the blink of an eye, terminal ballistics don't mean squat. No way I'm carrying the FiveSeven pistol though!!!

This 5.7mm ballistics issue is a oft-disputed one; here is a thread that gives some good views from both sides of the argument: http://www.ar15.com/forums/topic.html?b=5&f=4&t=10218

Be sure to read it through.

Well, that link didn't really prove anything, acecpt there's more people that are misguided.  When I said I got it straight from the hourses mouth, I meant it.  If you still want to believe otherwise that's fine.  I tried to clear it up.

If you look up the specs for whoever makes the silencer for the P90, I forget where I found it, it plus the barrel equals about 16 inches. So make it a fake can and it wouldn't look out of place at all.

Where did the people in the link hear it? Why would FN lie about it? I'm not accusing you of lying, I think the story behind this is either:

1. Your source was not talking about the USSS as a whole.

or

2. You heard it awhile back, before they adopted it.

Do you have any idea how long ago it might have been that you got it from "the horse's mouth"? Supposedly the P-90 and Five-seveN were adopted in 2003; here is another proof thread: www.militaryphotos.net/forums/viewtopic.php?t=6447

Towards the middle of the thread: I have read in a gun magazine that the US Secret Service has acquired the FN Five-SeveN pistol and the FN P90 Tactical recently...
