I come across this rifle today at the local gun shop and I really like the rifle. The rifle come with bipod, 2 set of Sig scope rings, extra 5 rounds mag and a case, all for $2,300.00 after taxes.

Only thing is missing is the scope, but I will get the scope later on. I just want to know what do you guys think about the SSG3000? Oh, and this one was made in Germany for some reason. Thanks in advance.

What I know about the SIG SSG 3000 is that it is a fine rifle. Guns & Weapons for Law Enforcement gave it a glowing article. I think there are three levels to the rifle, and those are scope, bipod and McMilan stocks. There is even a .22 conversion. All in all it is a great rifle. The reason why it was made in Germany is because SIG is Swiss and can not export arms due to the neutrality laws. So this is why you have SIG SAUER, SIG design, German manufacture

Dont hesitate I can help you with scope bases and stuff if you want. The FN SPR doesnt even compare. How do I know I had one.

UZI4you, that cleared it up for me,because I did some research and it made in Swiss. Now I know why it stamped Made in German. Thanks a lot.
Rich, that's pretty impressive group at 1000 yards. What's kind of the ammo/load you used? I will be happy to shoot that kind of group at 600 yards.
I will pick up the SSG in June, because now I just put on layaway while I'm looking for a scope. I'm thinking about S&B 3-12x50 Precisio Hunter series.
Thanks a lot for the info guys.
