Archived [ARCHIVED THREAD] - I'm really confused

Lets see, as of now the military is developing the Land Warrior System (M4), XM8 (Going to replace the M16/M4), and the OICW (Going to replace the M16/M4). Why are they still developing the Land Warrior System if they "are" going to replace it soon?

They are always developing something new. But nearly 90% of the time it never happens. This will praboly happen to all you have mentioned.WD
