It worked on every variant of AK 7.63 X 39 magazine I tried it on. These included steel Chinese, Russian, Yugoslavian, Hungarian etc. As to the plastic variants it worked perfectly on all that were tried these included Chinese red, Russian orange, Bulgarian, Romanian, all the Waffle mags we had from various countires. All flawless in 7.62 X 39. The only AK .223's I had were the Orange ones and I beleive they were converted 5.45 mags worked perfectly. Also worked fine on Black Waffle .223 mags, Bulgarian. Just tested Polytech .223 and it worked fine. Valmet .223 tested and worked fine as well. In .223 the AK LULA worked perfectly on Israeli Galil steel, Orlites, and South African Plastic mags. A short disclaimer before I delve into 5.45 X 39. This loader is designed to work with all variants of the 7.62 X 39 magazine for the AK as well as the .223 Galil. We do not guarantee it to work on all AK 74 mags. Tested AK 74 mags I have in Orange phenolic Russian/East German and it worked fine on these. Tested Hirman Rangers Black Bulgarian Waffle AK 74 and it worked perfectly. All in all with all the variants of magazines for the AK and the numerous countries of origin it works perfectly. AK 74 owners may well want to give it a shot also. Weiger .223 mags did not like the new loader. I tried a couple of mods but no luck. Feed lips are too high for the catch to work. i was lucky and got one of the AK LULA's in the first batch.
These work great!! Just as effective as the AR LULA. A must have item for your AK, and if you dont alrerady have one for your AR, you need to get one of those also. |

The AK LULA does work as slick or maybe a little slicker than the AR LULA. I think in 7.62 the extra bullet weight and attendant help from gravity make it unload a little quicker.

I picked up a LULA at Gunstock... Guys, if you have an AK or an AR, you NEED a LULA. You can load and unload mags SO freakin easily. Flip the lever, drop a round in, flip it back drop a round in, flip it back, drop a round in, etc etc. IT'S THAT EASY.

I dunno, but I'd think not, since these are made in Isreal, and they're probably not using many M14/FAL type rifles. I may be mistaken, tho. |

Actually the next LULA will be for the MP5. Once that is out of the way we will be concentrating on the US civilian market. Slated in what I believe to be the order is the AR10/M14, one loader that will fit both, the FAL
and the Mini 14. We cannot afford to make molds ($40,000) each and months of R&D for guns that are not prolific in some market sector, so don't be looking for one for the SIG-PE 57 or the HK G36 Denny |

I hope these work with those Romanian drums...
I just ordered two AK Lulas (to go with my AR15 Lula!), and 3 drums... Which reminds me, I need to try out the Lula on a C-Mag, too
