Anyone use one on their Mauser rifle? How do you like it? I have a Yugoslavian M48 and want to refinish the original wood furniture but in the meantime wouldn't mind putting trying this on with an Aimpoint. |

Without the funky scope top end it wouldn't look bad.
Depending how much you want to spend you could get a scope mounted up on the receiver, probably a better long term solution. I have the Ram-line synth stock and it's not too bad. |

Dude, that is WAY tactical... Been thinking about one myself for my old VZ24 Mauser. Need to get the bolt handle kit since the VZ is a straight bolt design.

I think I'm going to stay with the original look, for the price of that stock...I could buy another Mauser!

The scope mount for those is part of the stock itself. Not exactly the most stable platform - any scope should be attached to the receiver...

What he said. Attach an Ashley Outdoors Scout scope mount to your barreled action, and slap it into a Ram-Line stock. It's WAY simple to bed a Mauser action. Note that the "advanced stock" seems to eliminate the triggerguard/floorplate unit. Therefore, the stock is no longer sandwiched between two pieces of steel. I had intended to inspect one of these stocks, for possible experimentation. After seeing the above photo, I'll definitely pass. |
