Hello all,
Here's a stupid newbie question, I have a slip on comp that has 4 allen screws to hold it on to my Bushy HBAR. After mounting it the comp looks like it may be sitting slightly crooked and I am wondering if a bullet will catch the rim on its way out and damage my barrel or comp or will the pressure just push it thru the opening???

DO NOT USE IT. Do yourself a favor and discard it before you regret it. If you want a comp, send your upper to a smith or the manufacturer and ask for one to be installed.
I do not want to hear "but.....,", throw it out. End of thread-

Thanks for the words of caution but I would rather do it myself, so how would I go about making sure the comp is properly aligned??

OK now it's 2 against 1.... you win.
Well, I was going to dimple the barrel but it just didnt look right, I'm glad I waited for some help.  I will check into that threaded option, thanks.
I took it off and threw it in my spare parts box along w/ a few other "gems"
I have always owned guns but this is my 1st. AR-15. Is it me, or does there seems to be a tendency to hang all kinda crap off it?? My spare parts box costs as much as some guns I've owned.
