Archived [ARCHIVED THREAD] - Shilen Barrels from Brownells...anyone?

Im thinking about getting one of the pre-threaded barrels for my Rem 700. Brownells has them for a fairly good price I think. this would be my first project gun. Im not toally sure which way I want to go with this though. Im thinking a 243 though. Maybe ream it out for 243A.I.  But are the barrels worht it? Chrome Moly or pay the extra for SS?

The Shilan barrels are good barrels. Spend the extra bucks for the stainless. Barrel life will be longer with the 243AI. Good choice going with the 243 AI. email me and I will send you some information about the 243ai it is a great caliber.
