CZ 452. heard soem great things about this rifle

I have a CZ 452 Deluxe, it has iron sights. It is the most accurate 22 I have ever shot. I have shot 5 shot 1/4 inch at 50yds with open sights and match ammo. I thought about putting a scope on it, but love the open sights.

Kimber 22. They match the accuracy of the CZ, and have every other requirement you are looking for. They have relatively heavy barrels for a .22 ( at least the HS model ), and real nice action.

I've got the Kimber HS model as well and it is amazingly accurate. I am a poor shooter, but can regularly get .6 inch 10 shot groups at 50 yards with match grade ammo.

How much are those Kimber rifles? I know they arent cheap but are they worth the price?
Also whats the CZ going for these days? I might get a good adualt 22 bolt gun. Those cheap marlins are decent shooters, but I want a classy 22 shooter |

I've got two Marlins that fit your requirements: Models 880SQ & 2000. Both are tack-driving SOBs.
I've yet to see a .22 in the same price range that can outshoot a Marlin for accuracy. |

I'd go with the Kimber. 24 inches is too long for a .22 calibre rimfire. 22's start to lose velocity after 18-20 inches of barrel, IIRC.

CZ all the way. I have a CZ452 Varmint that is phenomenally accurate. Thing will keep 5 shots of Wolf MT in .85" at 100 yards all day if I do my part. Beatiful wood, adjustable trigger, you can't go wrong with the CZ. Definitely the most accurate .22 for the money.

Can't be much help which model would best fit your specs but I can say that the Kimber rimfire bolt actions I've seen were really nice. I'd like to get one myself someday but there are other guns that need to come first.
They all come with test targets and are pretty impressive (in the .20" range) Kimbers usually sell in the $700-$800 range. I sometimes see used ones in very good condition for $500+ I'd guess they shoot about as good as a Cooper rifle for less than half the cost. |

And the CZ's shoot almost if not as good as the Kimbers for half the cost....

You can't go wrong with the CZ. Those Czechs make a great product. Marlin makes some nice rimfires, but they don't hold a candle to the 452. kimbers are beautiful rifles, but not worth the extra cash,IMHO. For that kind of money you could get a Anschutz- which is still king.
